Kirinyanga Woman Rep Njeri Maina has launched the first cohort of the Tupange Kesho programme with over 100 students joining TVETS across Kirinyaga County through the scholarship project.
The scholarship project, which is a partnership between NGAAF and the MNK Foundation, targets youths aged between 18-26.

MP Njeri congratulated the class of 2025 for being successful saying she will be happy to join them on graduation day.
"The program, which spans over a 6-month period, aims to provide practical skills and training to young individuals in various technical fields, enabling them to acquire valuable skills for employment and entrepreneurship opportunities," MP Njeri said.
Youths in the TVETs will be undertaking courses such as engineering, construction, automotive, hospitality, and cosmetology among others.

"The program offers a hands-on approach to learning, equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter the workforce and contribute to the economic development of Kirinyaga County," MP Njeri added.
