The wife of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Pastor Dorcas, was forced to abandon a prayer meeting in Nyeri after politician Maina Njenga stormed the venue.
Dorcas was whisked away from the meeting at Kamkunji Stadium as Njenga’s convoy arrived.
Dorcas, Nyeri deputy governor David Waroe and a host of other leaders left the venue through the back entry.
As she left, Njenga went and sat at the very seat Dorcas had occupied.
Former DP Gachagua has since condemned Njenga's attendance at the meeting.
When he addressed the meeting, Njenga asked Mt Kenya residents not to be obsessed with their region.
“Let us not be people who speak about Mt Kenya all the time. There are other parts of the country. We need to go to other areas for prayers,” he said.
He called on leaders to enhance the spirit of nationalism and inclusion that will help Kenya move forward.
