President William Ruto on Thursday visited Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli at his Khwisero home in Kakamega County.

The head of state, who was accompanied by other senior government officials, was received by Atwoli and his family members.

“William Ruto being officially received by Francis Atwoli and his family at their Khwisero residence in Kakamega County. This follows a successful and impactful development tour of Western Kenya,” Atwoli posted on X.

“Thank you, your Excellency, for visiting and sharing a meal with us.”

Ruto visited the home on day four of his Western region development tour.

On Thursday, Ruto was scheduled to be in Busia to inspect the Alupe Dam project and also commission last-mile electricity connectivity at Nambale Junction.

Ruto will then head to Bungoma County for a last-mile connectivity project in Kimilili, Webuye.

On Wednesday, the President commissioned the extension of a dyke for the River Nzoia flood control project in Budalang’i, Busia County.

Ruto also launched the new Luanda Modern Market in Vihiga County whose construction has begun and is expected to be completed in under 18 months.

The President also broke the ground for the construction of a tuition block at St Anne’s Bunyala Girls, Busia County and laid the foundation stone for Khwisero Mother and Child Level 4 Hospital in Kakamega County.
