Detectives are
investigating an incident where the body of a woman was found on the roadside in
Olchoro, Narok County.
Police said the body had deep cuts when it was found.
Police who visited the scene said it lay in a pool of blood with severe deep cuts on the head, right thigh and left hand suspected to be inflicted using a sharp object.
The deceased was positively identified by her neighbours.
According to witnesses, the deceased had been seen at a local bar the previous night Friday before the body was found, police said.
Earlier on, there was an altercation between five men and another group in the area.
One man was seriously injured in the left hand in the drama, police said.
Police said they are looking for known suspects in the murder.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.
In Mbita, Homabay, the decomposed body of a woman was found in her house after a suspected murder.
Police identified her as Christina Anyango Abanga.
Two men were arrested over the death.
She is believed to have died days earlier before the body was discovered on January 24, police said.

Elsewhere, police are investigating an incident where the body of a man was found at the entrance of his gate after a suspected murder in Kiambu’s Kiganjo area.
The deceased was identified as James Ndungu Kinyanjui and police established that the deceased might have been scalded with hot water since the body had visible injuries on his head, neck and part of his upper body, which appeared burnt with hot liquid.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other procedures.
No arrest has been made so far over the January 24 incident, police said.
And in Kinango, Kwale County, the body of a man was found lying on the roadside.
Police said the body had deep cuts on the head when it was discovered on January 24.
Police who visited the scene said the body had been eaten up by wild animals on the legs, chest and arms.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
