Former President Uhuru Kenyatta joined family and friends for the burial ceremony of Kanja Waruru in Chaka, Nyeri County.

The Late Kanja Waruru was the brother to Wachira Waruru, Group Managing Director of Royal Media Services.

Kenyatta eulogized Kanja as a devoted family man, a patriotic Kenyan, and a person of great integrity whose presence will be dearly missed.

“Kanja was not just a brother to Wachira but a brother and friend to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, humility, and dedication to family and friends have left a legacy that will endure,” the former Head of State said.

The service was well attended by both local and National government leaders.

They gathered to honor Kanja's life and the influence he had on those he touched.

Among the mourners were Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mutahi Kagwe, former ICT CS Joe Mucheru, and founder and chairman of Royal Media Services SK Macharia, among others.
