Raila emphasised the importance of boosting private sector involvement in Africa's growth to shape the economic future.

Speaking when he made an impromptu visit to Business Bay Square (BBS) mall in Eastleigh, Raila stated that the continent has immense opportunities for the private investors.

Expressing his admiration for the success of the project, Raila noted that such investments are vital for job creation and for ensuring Kenya's competitiveness on the global stage.

"These kinds of developments can play a crucial role in creating jobs, especially for our youth and addressing unemployment challenges," said Raila.

Raila was accompanied by Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan, and Eastleigh North ward MCA Ahmad Dabar among other guests.

They were hosted by BBS chairperson Abdiweli Mohamed Hassan.

During a meeting, Raila highlighted the potential for similar projects to transform Kenya.

He compared them to successful developments in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

"If we can replicate such efforts here, why would we need to go to Dubai? Nairobi too can change," he stated.

In his vision for Africa's future, Raila outlined that private investments are crucial for creating jobs, reducing poverty, and driving economic growth.

He expressed his belief that the continent's vast resources, young population, and strategic location make it an ideal destination for private developers looking to invest in infrastructure, technology, and various industries.

President William Ruto and Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud are among the notable figures who have previously visited the mall, underscoring its significance as a landmark development in the region.
