KPLC: Areas in 11 counties to face power cuts Thursday

Kenya Power has listed areas across 11 counties set for scheduled power interruptions on Thursday.

The utility firm announced that the areas will experience power interruptions to allow system maintenance.

The power interruption will occur between 9am and 5pm in different areas.

Counties to be affected are Nairobi, Tana River, Kwale, West Pokot, Vihiga, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Embu, Laikipia, Kiambu, Kitui, and Kwale.

Nairobi

Parts of Nairobi will experience power interruptions from 9am to 5pm.

They are Maziwa Stage, M-Gas Mukuru Depot, Villa Police Station, Wapewape Road, Embakasi Girls, Muindi Mweusi S/Market Mukuru kwa Njenga, Chaminade, St. Mary's Hospital Mukuru kwa Njenga, Kware Police Post, Mukuru Kwa Njenga Primary, Kware Statehouse, Pipeline Chairmans, Muindi Mweusi S/Mkt Pipeline and  Part of Plot 10.

West Pokot

Some areas in West Pokot will experience power cuts from 9am to 3pm.

They include Konyao, Losem, Kiwawa, Chelopoy, Amakuriat and Alale.

Vihiga

Parts of Vihiga are set to experience power interruption from 8.30am to 5pm.

The areas are Vihiga Law Courts, Bukuga Market, Gavalagi, Vihiga Boys, Vihiga Police, Kidundu. Vihiga Police, Kidundu, Madira, Magada, Muhanda Water, Ebubayi Esibuye, Mwilonje, Ebusitsi H/Center, Mundichiri, Ebusiloli, Ebunangwe and Maragoli Booster.

Tharaka Nithi

Parts of Tharaka Nithi will experience power interruption from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

The areas include Ciakariga Market, Karuguyuni Primary School, Mutuguni Primary School, Makomango Primary School, Kithiori Primary School, Kempus Market, Marimanti Prison and  Kari Sheep and Goat.

Nyeri

Areas in Nyeri will experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm are Kiganjo, Kiganjo Police College, Site and Service East, Kagumo Secondary School, Kirichu, Ndurutu, Maisha Flour and adjacent customers.

Embu

Areas in Embu are set for power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

They are Munyuttu Market, Rukuriri Market, Medusa, Kanja Market, Thuci Lodge, Mufu Market, Mukuri Mkt, Ena Coffee Factory, and adjacent customers.

Others are Privum Nuts, PCEA Muthatari, Nthokis Hotel, Itabua Secondary, Njumbiri Village, Kimangaru Mkt, Mikuuri, Kambo Village, Diocese of Embu, NTSA Mugoya, and adjacent customers.

Laikipia

Parts of Laikipia will experience power cuts from 8am to 4pm.

The areas are Gathiru Ammunition Depot, Jogi, Ngarariga, Mirera, Buens Luger, Toll Station, Kwa Huku, Tigers, Ichuga CCM, Equator Girls, Nabosa, St. Teresa Catholic; Nanyuki Boarding, Bantu Lodge, Narumoru Secondary, Kileleshwa, Nelion Hotel, Gatuanyaga, Kandara, Misty Hotel and adjacent customers.


Kiambu

Parts of Kiambu are set for power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

The areas include Githunguri DO's Residence, Karweti Factory, Kahuruko Village, Kamuchege Carnivore, Githongo Factory and Pascha Dairies.

Kitui

Areas in Kitui schdeulled for power interruption from 9am to 5pm include Kalundu Market, Ngiini, Kwa Ukungu, Kyalilini, Museve, Makaani Market, Mutune, Mutheke Market, Kasyala Boosters, Kasyala Market, Usiani Market and adjacent customers.

Kwale

Parts of Kwale to have power interruption from 9am to 5pm include Lutsangani, Tsunza Secondary, Mteza Market, Bunguni, Kayabombo Water Supply, Mwache Primary, and Mwache Dam.

Tana River

Areas in Tana River scheduled for power cuts from 9am to 1pm include Hola Town, Mango Plant, Tana Polytechnic, Bura Masalani, Ijara Centre, Wenje, and adjacent customers.
