A Kenyan has been named as a judge at the SABRE Awards Africa 2025, a global awards programme that recognises excellence in public relations campaigns.
Mary Njoki expressed her joy of being part of the judging panel, stating that she looks forward to use her expertise at the platform.
“The SABRE Awards are all about celebrating the power of strategic communications, setting industry benchmarks, and championing innovation, creativity, and ethical storytelling,” noted Njoki, who is Glass House PR Limited founder and CEO.
The SABRE (Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation, and Engagement) Awards Africa attracts participation from a wide range of organisations across the continent.
Participants include Public Relations agencies, corporations and brands, government and public sector organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and non-profits, in-house communication teams, media and digital communication firms, and startups and emerging brands.
The awards celebrate outstanding work in engagement, credibility, and relationship building.
Njoki said she is anticipating a competitive process as they build up to the awards ceremony later this year.
“All participants are unique in their way, and together with fellow panelists, we shall pick the best without prejudice,” she noted.
Njoki has worked with more than 100 organisations, including SMEs/SMBs in Africa, and African governments such as Zanzibar and Ethiopia through Glass House PR Limited.
“I am excited to contribute my expertise and collaborate with like-minded professionals who are equally committed to shaping the future of public relations, which is already at play,” Njoki added.
The awards provide a networking platform for industry leaders, strengthening global collaboration and elevating public relations as a trusted strategic profession.
Each participant submits campaigns for evaluation based on creativity, effectiveness, and impact in categories such as crisis management, corporate reputation, and influencer marketing, among others.
Winners are selected through a rigorous judging process that evaluates the best public relations and communication campaigns across the continent.
The award has been setting the standards for excellence in public relations, branding, and reputation management for more than 30 years.
