President William Ruto on Monday, February 24, 2025, hosted Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at State House, Mombasa. 
The former Prime Minister said he was happy to be back home after losing the African Union Commission Chairmanship.

Speaking at State House, Mombasa, Raila said he was grateful to all Kenyans who walked the journey with him. 

He described the election as an eye-opener.

“I am delighted to be back home. You see, East, West, North, and South home is best. I feel very happy and delighted to be back in Kenya after what we went through," Raila said.

Other leaders present at State House were Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah.
