President William Ruto is scheduled to visit Kilifi County on day three of his coastal development tour.

Among the activities lined up include the commission of the Sabaki Power Station in Magarini Sub County and the inauguration of the affordable housing project at Tezo Ward in Kilifi North Sub County.

He is also expected to launch the Kenya Off-Grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP) in Mariakani, Kaloleni Sub County.

Ruto who is accompanied by his deputy Kithure Kindiki among other elected leaders and some members of his Cabinet commenced the tour on Monday, February 24.

Raila to hold meetings

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is set to hold a series of meetings today in his Nyanza turf as part of his ongoing consultations with various stakeholders.

On Tuesday, he met youth leaders from the eight sub-counties and county ODM officials. 
On February 25, he hinted at making a major announcement next week, following wide consultations across the country.

Budget Policy Statement

National Assembly's departmental committees will today continue with its planned meetings with various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) under their purview to consider the budget policy statement recently approved by the Cabinet.

It sets a Sh4.2 trillion budget for the 2025/26 financial year. 
Probe after two men found dead
 Police are probing a case in which two bodies were found dumped off Mombasa Road in Athi River, Machakos County.

A third victim who has deep cuts is fighting for his life in hospital, police said.

According to police and locals, the victims had deep panga cuts and seemed to have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the site.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known, police said adding no arrest had been made so far.

Pedestrians reported that the bodies of the men were lying near a petrol station with deep cuts.

Police said they are among others reviewing security cameras on nearby structures and roads as part of efforts to know the killers.
