A Nakuru court will today deliver a ruling on whether a pastor charged with rape and committing an indecent act will be released on bond.

Pastor Peter Kimondo of Christ Impact Church was Monday charged before Nakuru senior resident magistrate Ruth Kefa where he denied the charges.

His lawyers pleaded for his release on cash bail, an application that was strongly opposed by the prosecution.

Kimondo was arrested on Saturday in Nairobi and transferred to Nakuru where the alleged offences took place in 2022.

The magistrate will rule on the bond application today.

Former manager at REREC 

In Nairobi at the anti- corruption chief magistrate court, the hearing of a case against a former manager at REREC continues today.

Noah Oluoch was last year charged with forging a master's degree certificate to land a top job at the agency.

Ferdinand Waititu Case

At the High Court, Justice Lucy Njuguna of the AntiCorruption and Economic Crimes division will give new directions in an appeal filed by former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu following his conviction in January.
