The search for the new IEBC chairperson continues today with four other candidates set to be interviewed.
On Monday, the IEBC Selection Panel chaired by Nelson Makanda grilled four out of the 11 candidates shortlisted for the position.
They are Abdulqadir Lorot, Anne Amadi, Charles Nyachae and Edward Ngeya.
Those set to appear before the Panel today are Erastus Ethekon, Francis Kissinger, Jacob Muvengei and Joy Brenda Masinde.
They are scheduled to appear at 8:30 am, 11:00 am, 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm respectively.

The three-day exercise will end on Wednesday, March 26.

Candidates who applied for the positions of member will be interviewed from Thursday, March, 27 to April 24.

The venue of the interviews will be at the College of Insurance South C, Nairobi.

Anti-Corruption Strategic Framework

The National Council on Administrative Justice (NCAJ) will today launch the anti-corruption strategic guiding framework for the justice sector.

The function will be presided over by NCAJ chairperson, Chief Justice Martha Koome.

The event will be held at Safari Park Hotel.

NCAJ was established as an umbrella body that brings together justice sector actors to ensure an efficient, effective and consultative approach to the administration of justice.

It is mandated to ensure a coordinated approach in the administration of justice and reform of the justice system.

World TB Day

The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) will hold a Media Breakfast on TB at Nairobi Safari Club.

This World TB Day event is a key moment to highlight Kenya’s progress in ending tuberculosis (TB) and reinforce the importance of data-driven decision-making in TB care and policy.

World TB Day is commemorated annually on March 24. 2025 theme is "Yes! We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver".

Directions to be issued in Ahmednasir imposed ban case

The high court is this morning expected to issue directions in a case in which Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdulahi's law firm sued Chief Justice Martha Koome over an indefinite ban.

The last time the matter was in court, the Judge was informed that the issue was still pending determination at the Court of Appeal. This is after the Supreme Court appealed against a decision by Mwita who said he has jurisdiction over the matter.
