A bus belonging to Nova Pioneer school on Tuesday morning overturned along Mombasa road in the Sabaki area within Athi River, Machakos County.
The bus had schoolchildren on board when it got involved in the accident.
Athi River South subcounty police commander Philis Muthoni told the Star all the children are safe.
"The children were rushed to various hospitals within Athi River. There were no fatalities," Muthoni told the Star on the phone.
Muthoni said it was a self-involved road accident incident.
The accident occurred when the bus was moving towards the Mombasa general direction.
The bus was towed to the Athi River police station awaiting inspection.
The cause of the accident is yet to be established.
