Comedian Vincent Mwasia Mutua, commonly known as Chipukeezy has been appointed Assistant Director, Protocol and Events in the Executive Office of the President.

Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Coordination Dennis Itumbi shared news of the appointment on Wednesday afternoon.

“Congratulations on your appointment as Assistant Director, Protocol and Events in the Executive Office of the President!” he said on X.

Itumbi wished the comedian well, stating that the appointment was deserved owing to his work in the creative economy.

“Habakkuk 2:3. May you serve with unwavering focus and passion as we work together to drive the success of The Creative Economy,” he added.

Chipukeezy is an established comedian and media personality known for his Kamba accent

He is one of the most successful comedians to have ever appeared on Churchill Show. His stay on the platform showcased his talents to the world, unlocking more opportunities for his growth.

The comedian has been a close associate of the Kenya Kwanza administration and has been an MC at some of the President William Ruto’s events.

Previously, he was appointed by the Uhuru Kenyatta administration to the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) board.

Chipukeezy was born and raised in Tala, Machakos County,

Chipukeezy attended Kwatombe Primary School.

He later proceeded to Masii and Tala high schools for his secondary education.

While in high school, he actively participated in drama club activities, becoming a darling among teachers and fellow students. Usually, he would create funny scripts.

He joined a local theatre production, which acted set books for high schools. Later, he landed a better gig at Heartstrings, appearing eight times as a warm seat narrator.

Eventually, he was able to raise the fees to join the East African School of Media Studies.
