President William Ruto’s week-long tour of the Mt Kenya region continues today as he heads to Meru and Kirinyaga counties to launch, inspect, and commission various development projects.His itinerary includes stops in Maua, Kiburi, Nkuene, Ahiti Ndomba, and Kagio Town, where he will engage with residents and assess ongoing initiatives.The tour, which began on Tuesday, kicked off with visits to Laikipia and Nyeri counties, marking a significant push for infrastructure and economic growth in the region.
Ruto is accompanied by his deputy Kithure Kindiki, some cabinet Secretaries and elected leaders from the region.
On Tuesday, Meru Governor Isaac Mutuma chaired a meeting of all leaders from the county to plan for the visit and agree on projects to be launched.
Auditor General reports
The National Assembly's Public Investments Committee (PIC) on Education and Governance is set to convene today to examine reports of the Auditor General for FY 2021/22 - 2023/24 of various institutions including Kisumu National Polytechnic, Maseno University and Rift Valley TTI.
Others are Jaramogi University of Science and Technology, Rongo University and Siala TTI.
