
A 28-year-old man was found dead in their family's house after a suspected suicide in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
Police said John Kamau had been missing for hours before his body was discovered hanging from the
ceiling with a rope tied around his neck.
The motive of the incident is yet to be known, police said as
they moved the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
It is one of the three cases of suicide that were reported to police on Wednesday. Statistics show that most of the victims of suicide are men.
Police have reported a spike in suicide cases amid calls to
address the trend.
Elsewhere in Kegogi, Marani, Kisii County, one Yusuf Otaro, 27, was found dead on the roadside.
His neighbours said he had left home for the Isecha trading
center but failed to return.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead
on arrival.
The body was moved to the mortuary, awaiting autopsy.
In Oyugis, Homabay, a 63-year-old man was found dead in an open
field near his home.
Police were called to the scene and collected the body of John
Caleb to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations following the
April 7 incident.
In Langas, Eldoret, one Alex Madekwa, 70, was found lying dead in
his rental house.
Police officers visited the scene and found the body lying lifeless with no
visible injuries.
The body was moved to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital
morgue, awaiting postmortem.
Police want to understand the cause of the death of the man.
In Butere, Kakamega County, the body of one Wilson Andat, 24, was
found on the roadside.

roadside after he collapsed there.
Police said they were called to the scene after locals spotted
the body.
