Several areas in six counties that will face scheduled power interruptions on Thursday, Kenya Power has announced.
Counties affected by the planned interruptions are Nairobi, Kisii, Kiambu, Kilifi, Kirinyaga, and Embu.
In Nairobi, parts of the Pangani area will be without power from 9am to 5pm.
The affected areas are Marang’a Road, Guru Nanak Hospital, Pangani Police, Juja Road, Radiant Hospital, North View Road, Strawberry, Pangani Girls, Alamin Hospital, KICD Headquarters, Part of Muratina Road, Fair View Road and adjacent customers.
In Kisii County, Nyamache, Igare and Kiobegi areas will be without power from 9am-5pm.
Nyamache Tea Factory and Market, Emenwa Market, Matierio Secodnary, Igare Market, Nyamagwa Girls and Boys, Boitangare Secondary, Matierio Keigamere, Safaricom Booster, Kiobegi, Nyabite, Kionduso Secondary and adjacent customers will be affected.
Kagio, Kiunga and Kandongu areas in Kirinyaga county will be without power.
Specifically, part of Kagio Town, Kiunga, Mitarabo, Kandongu, Kiamachri Polytechnic, Mutithi Girls, Gitooni Primary and adjacent customers will not have electricity.
In Embu county, Gatondo and Maramuri areas will not have power.
Gatondo, Havard, Embu High, Kamutungi, Muiganania, Parts of Muthatari and adjacent customers will be affected.
In Kiambu, Kamiti area will experience scheduled interruptions. Areas to be affected include Ngethu Lower Camp, Kariuki Muiruri, Ngorongo Health Centre, Ngorongo Market, Ngorongo Dry, Kariua, Kamwangi DCs, Kamwangi Market, Kariua, Igegania Hospital, Kairi Market, Kairi Nguna, Kairi High, Nyamagara High, Nyamagara Market, Kangoo Market, Mukurwe, Gatei Market, Gatei High, Kanjuku Market, Watathi, Gathaite Market, Mbici High, Mbici Market, Ruburi, Mbogoro, Kimee, Kagumoini Market, Ritho Market, Icaciri High, Gitatiini, Ituiku, Gitundu and adjacent customers.
In Kilifi County, Iron Africa, Kavee Quarry, Kaydee Quarry, Kokotoni S/Centre, SS Mehta, Jibebe Transporters, Miritini Products Ltd, Volcan, FBNB, Tarmal Yard, Somali Village, Third Engineering Quarry, Jimba and Boyani of the Kokotoni area will not have power.
Parts of Kanamai and Mtwapa will also be without power. Affected areas include Greenwood, KMA, Cocacola Bottlers, Ashut Plastics, Mombasa Apparel, Milly Fruits, Mzuri Sweets, Umoja Rubber Ltd, Ogalis, Mwalimu Omar, Northcoast Medical Collage, Bomani kwa Kanyi, Khosla Farm, Pentagon, UB40, Bomani Dispensary, Kikamabala Housing, Bomani 3 Stars, Bionoo, Mamba, Bomani Manase.
Bomani Palepale, Junju Secondary, Junju Village, Mwembetsungu, Parts of Mwatundo, Tropical Sea life, Coast Apparel, Petrocity Sokoni, Mtwapa Market, Mwatundo, Rise and Shine, Kwa Radar, Mwatundo, Rubis Mtwapa, Ndonya Nyati and adjacent customers.
