In Summary


  • The World Chambers Federation (WCF) Africa Summit 2025, being held in Nairobi, continues today.
  • National Assembly's Committee Regional Development Committee will today meet the Council of Governors (COG) regarding the Intergovernmental Relations (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

The search for the new members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) continues today. 

The IEBC selection panel, chaired by Nelson Makanda, is scheduled to interview six candidates.

The exercise, which commenced March 27, concludes April 25, 2025.

After this, the Panel will then forward the names of successful individuals to the President for appointment.

WCF Summit,2025

The World Chambers Federation (WCF) Africa Summit 2025, being held in Nairobi, continues today.

The summit opened by President William Ruto Wednesday brings together 4,500 delegates, 350 exhibitors and leaders shaping Africa’s future in trade, innovation, and sustainability.

It started on April 7 and ends on April 11.

It is organised by the WCF in partnership with the ICC and KNCCI.

The summit focuses on boosting trade and investment, promoting sustainable practices, empowering youth and women, funding MSMEs, mentorship and market access, driving innovation to solve local challenges and strengthening regional integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Committee on Health meet

The Senate Committee on Health is scheduled to convene today for a meeting with the State Corporations Advisory Committee (SCAC).

It will deliberate on the implementation status of the Committee report on the petition regarding the management and use of Kenyatta University Teaching, Research and Referral Hospital (KUTRRH).

MPs, COG meet

Parliament's Departmental Committee Regional Development Committee will meet the Council of Governors (COG) regarding the Intergovernmental Relations (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
