President William Ruto’s Nyanza tour enters day two today with a series of activities lined up.

Ruto is expected to preside over the closing of the Blue Economy Conference at Tom Mboya University (TMU) and commission a new university building.

He will also officially launch the Kenya School of Law (KSL) and TMU Maritime Centre of Excellence, a joint initiative aimed at training professionals to support the Blue Economy, which is increasingly being positioned as a key economic frontier for the country.

The Head of State will then tour the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) pier and fish market, before visiting the new Rangwe Sub-County headquarters and inspecting ongoing road infrastructure projects in the region.

First Ladies’ meet

The First Ladies of Africa Impact and Resilience (FLAIR) Forum and Expo is set to be held at the University of Nairobi's Chandaria Auditorium.

First Lady Rachel Ruto will be the chief guest during the event to be held for women leaders and other invited dignitaries.

Ida Odinga will be the keynote speaker.
