President William Ruto, who is in Nyanza for a development visit, is scheduled to officially open the Rangwe Subcounty Headquarters in Homa Bay.
The new facility will serve as the main administrative office for the subcounty, supporting National Government Administrative Officers and other state agencies.
Earlier, Ruto, accompanied by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, officially opened a KCB Bank branch located at Tom Mboya University in Homa Bay.
Blue Economy Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho, Treasury CS John Mbadi, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga were also present, among other leaders.
Ruto also presided over the closing of the Blue Economy Conference at Tom Mboya University (TMU).
He is in the region for a three-day tour ahead of Madaraka Day celebrations to be held in the county.
