HAS Deputy President William Ruto’s righthand men sensed that the Jubilee Party might not be available for them as a vehicle to ride in the presidential race in 2022? Well, Corridors has learnt that plans are at an advanced stage to revive URP. This was prominently seen in youths who grouped in Kiambu on Sunday clad in yellow T-shirts waving yellow banners to welcome Ruto while on a visit to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s turf.  The emergence of the party colours rekindles memories of the United Republican Party formative stages.

PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta’s Cabinet seems to be in its most anxious moments because of the ongoing investigations into scandals in government. It is no longer at ease over one Cabinet Secretary who has gone out of his way to manufacture lies and propaganda about his colleagues. The CS is said to have vowed to ensure that he brings down his colleagues whom he perceives to be leaning towards Deputy President William Ruto. A bird whispered to Corridors that the row might soon turn ugly if the President does not intervene. The affected CSs have threatened to revenge by spilling the beans on their troublesome colleague’s past conduct. The CS in question is said to be a bitter fellow when dealing with his colleagues.

A former prominent member of friends of a community forest association board is reportedly a worried man. Reason?  It's emerging that the man, who trades as a professor, has no document to back his claim.  Those in the know have told Corridors that the fellow disappeared to a foreign country in the 90s for many years and came back with a title "Prof". The man’s academic credentials have been put in doubt and it is reported that he simply started calling himself a professor and forged documents to show he is one. Over to you CUE.

AN influential and wealthy member of a government task force has been boasting how his membership of the ad hoc team will help him fix his erstwhile business rival. The man is said to have spent millions of shillings on the members of the task force and has prepared a war chest to pocket legislators whom he says he will buy with ease “as most of them are broke anyway”. One wonders whether the team’s report will be objective given the plans of the member.
