Has a senior parliamentary leader panicked over impending changes? The MP has reportedly told close friends he doesn't see himself surviving the chopping board in the coming days. In a conversation with some lawmakers at a Nairobi hotel on Friday, the MP allegedly said his goose is already cooked, with his boss set to make radical House changes. Those close to him say he is among the few allegedly earmarked for a purge to clear the way for a big stalwart who will be taking over. He is, however, worried that his colleagues may turn him into a laughing stock.

Still on MPs, a lawmaker from a populous region has gone into hiding after clashing with a political heavyweight. The MP has reportedly told his friends that the bigwig warned him of unspecified consequences after he decided to take him head-on. Their alleged nasty exchange erupted at a major hotel within a town in the region and was witnessed by some MPs. The big gun has reportedly decided to teach the MP a bitter lesson ahead of the 2027 general election. A former rival has already been positioned for possible propping as his replacement.

Is a politician pulling PR stunts with his flurry of tours across his constituency following the deadly protests of Gen Z? It is said the MP has been stage-managing public events across the constituency to prove that he is popular despite voting for the impugned Finance Bill, 2024. The legislator recently made short videos and uploaded them on his social media platforms to show how well he was received by his constituents during public engagements. He has been seen hugging and freely interacting with his constituents to prove the point that he is a darling of the people. Others say he fears “greetings” from the Gen Zs but puts on a brave face.

A top chief executive officer at a strategic ministry is worried about her job amid looming changes. Corridors of Power is apprised that the executive has purportedly been making frantic calls after powers that be allegedly exposed a plan to kick her out. One of the political linchpins from her backyard is reportedly pushing her out to create a vacancy for his relative.  The officer has pleaded with politicians from the region to fight back but they are worried that with the Gen Z "greetings", they might run into trouble. A recent audit report exposed irregularities in the use of public funds under the watch of the embattled executive. The big man is latching on to the report, among other cliams, to push her out of the agency.
