A top state honcho has reportedly been kicked out of his matrimonial home in one of the lush suburbs in Nairobi. Well, little birds whisper to Corridors of Power that the moment the man was supposedly kicked out by his wife, he allegedly moved in with his mistress who is a Member of Parliament. Speculations are rife that they are now living in another upmarket suburb. While he appears tough in public, the powerful figure seems too vulnerable at home, and has had to seek solace and safety in the arms of another woman.

Staff at an agency that deals with a liquid necessary for survival reportedly could not hide their joy upon learning that their boss has been sent packing. His supposed removal by the board of management had been described as long overdue and immediately the news was shared, there were wild celebrations. Members of staff allegedly broke into hysterical dances with shouts of “anguka naye” rending the air. The man, nicknamed “Pharaoh”, reportedly had a bitter and acrimonious relationship with the staff.

Major political realignments have began taking shape just days after a deal between the country’s political elite. Sources tell Corridors bigwigs are already discussing how positions will be shared ahead of the 2027 polls. A female governor is already being touted for a key job in that election. While loyalists could reap big, hardliners are likely to suffer. One of the casualties is likely to be a youthful MP who is now rumoured to be standing on shaky ground in his quest. Why? His critics term him as “too aggressive and tactless” and even daring to challenge the hand that feeds him. Only time will tell how the new power shenanigans pan out.

Demonstrations led by Gen Zs in a county in Nyanza have been hijacked by the political class. Politicians harbouring political ambitions and interests come the next general elections are said to be using Gen Zs to settle political scores with their perceived competitors in the race for various seats come 2027. A resident said the aspirants are reportedly dipping into their fat pockets to fund the demos and other disruptive activities being undertaken by the youths.
