Top county official turns to witchcraft to teach successor lesson

A COUNTY EXECUTIVE who was affected by a recent reshuffle is said to have resorted to witchcraft to teach the official who took over the office after him a lesson. The man was reportedly heartbroken by the changes but it is understood the governor moved him because of the glaring incompetence he demonstrated in the office. The dismissed official has reportedly asked some of his colleagues to watch out and see what would befall the executive who replaced him.

A GOVERNOR FROM Eastern has been warned to continue working with the finance executive at his own peril. Some residents from a vote-rich subcounty told the county boss he risked losing their votes if he did not fire the official. They say the official has become the symbol of wanton theft of county funds and corruption, going by his sudden change of lifestyle. They also want the finance boss to explain the source of the money he dishes out in churches.

AN MP FROM western Kenya has raised eyebrows for soliciting for funds from local companies and the public for a soccer tournament named after him. The proposed budget for the tournament is said to be more than Sh10 million. According to letters the MP has been sending to companies, the tournament will be a great marketing opportunity as it is aimed at giving football fans and players a chance to interact with and know more about the firms that will sponsor the event in December.

A FIERCE FIGHT between a county assembly speaker in Nyanza and MCAs has now roped in members of the executive and area MPs. An insider tells Corridors of Power the governor and legislators are financing and masterminding rebellion of the MCAs to dislodge the speaker from office because of their political interests. It is understood that the county boss and the MPs want the speaker removed for supposedly siding with MCAs allied to their 2027 opponents.
