A COUNTY EXECUTIVE committee
member is said to have knowingly prepared answers that would embarrass
his boss when he appeared before
senators for questioning. The governor
was appearing before a watchdog committee to respond to some queries. The
county executive lined up wrong and
immaterial answers for the governor
as his defence. The county chief also
carried along documents that were unconnected, which caused confusion and
put the county chief in a fix.

MCAs FROM A certain county have
declared war on a senior party official
over his persistent attacks on their
governor. Tired of the recently elevated
official, the ward reps have vowed to
teach the man a lesson. The MCAs have
been questioning what the official is up
to, saying he has reduced his national
position to being a supervisor of the
county and a campaigner for a female
politician who has declared interest in
the governor’s position.

THE CONFLICTS BETWEEN a senator and a first-term governor seem to be getting out of hand. The lawmaker has been alleging that individuals working in the county have hatched a scheme to harm him. The governor on the other hand has been publicly accusing the lawmaker of causing bad blood between him and the Senate. The county boss claims the senator is using House committees to play local politics and micromanage affairs of his administration.

wooden club (rungu). The residents
are questioning the origin of the rungu
and its meaning or purspose, as the
community considers it a taboo for a
woman to carry a rungu. The only time a
woman is allowed to carry the weapon is
when she is mourning the death of her
husband. So, for the politican to carry
the rungu while her husband is still alive
is something locals are struggling to
comprehend. They look at it as a bad
omen and a curse.
