Senior state official loses valuables at a massage parlour

A SENIOR OFFICIAL at a government agency in Nairobi allegedly lost valuables while having a nice time at a massage parlour in one of the posh estates in the city. The man lost the items as he was enjoying services that included a full body massage, full body scrub, steam wash and “extras.” We are told that as he was enjoying life, the masseuse reportedly colluded with her male colleagues to steal laptops, cash and an expensive watch and jewelry from the man’s car parked within.

THE FAITHFUL IN Eastern region were treated to drama when a bishop supposedly denied area MP the opportunity to speak during the service. The service was a shocker for the MP as he was unrecognised throughout the function. As it ended, the lawmaker rose to give his donation and expected to be given the microphone to “escort” his money. He was respectfully told to put his cash where others were putting theirs. As if that was not enough, the priest allegedly told the MP he was not going to greet the people. The MP walked timidly to the offering basket and threw his envelope in it.

A PARASTATAL IN the Coast region is said to have transferred a senior official when it became apparent the man was on the radar of anti-graft detectives. The official is reported to have been moved hundreds of kilometres away from the corporation’s offices. The detectives were responding to several complaints raised by coastal residents, among them, clients of the corporation. The residents have allegedly accused the official, who was in charge of a critical department, of gross misconduct and corruption.

A COUNTY EXECUTIVE seems to be the governor’s personal assistant, chief of staff, county secretary, deputy governor and the only adviser. The man has since come to be known as Mr Money Bags or county prime minister and staff allegedly say he is not even qualified to be in charge of the docket he officially holds. Other CECMs want nothing to do with the official and accuse him of only concentrating on what benefits him. While some want him moved to another docket, others wish that he were sacked.
