Whispers are that the man has used people who are his known buddies to register a new outfit that has since teamed up with the amorphous opposition movement. We are told he formed the party as his misgivings about the broad-based administration grows by the day and he feels increasingly left out in the new power matrix. His associates says the man wants a solid plan B should things go south, as all indications are that they will at some point.

A political camp associated with a top politician who lost favour with the President is not happy with a Mt Kenya governor. The Governor pulled a surprise by appearing in public meeting attended by the Head of State in the region. The governor, who shocked everyone by his pronouncements is said to have angered the fire breathing politician who has vowed to have him sidelined before teaching him a lesson of his life. A mole within the political camp of the politician, who always claims to be listening to the ground told corridors that they are marking their register to note leaders in their camp who appeared in meetings the president attended. It remains to be seen which political punishment will be administered to those who attended the president’s whirlwind meetings.

A top leader within the UDA party and in parliament seems to have spoilt the party for the President in the Mt Kenya tour. The MP who has not been popular in the region, including in his constituency, caused anger in one of the counties after he used unprintable words targeting referring to his boss’s political rival. Residents were heard saying the MP should not export his “bad manners and insults” from his constituency into other regions. They said they are good Christians and such insults are unprintable.

A state official who was on the verge of losing his job can now breathe a sigh of relief, thanks to the intervention of a powerful figure from his region. His position was at stake that another individual had already been informed of his impending appointment to the role. The official had been marked for dismissal due to his close ties with a prominent figure who was ousted from office last year. According to our sources, he, along with a full delegation, visited the influential figure's home, taking a goat as a gesture of reconciliation. It really worked well for him. Now, he is a relieved man and has been all over social media pages promoting the government's achievements.
