A FIRST-TERM MP from the North Rift
reportedly shocked his colleagues when it
emerged his parents live in squalid conditions
despite the lawmaker’s purported opulence
and demeanour of braggadocio. The youthful
and outspoken MP left fellow legislators in
bewilderment after touring the constituency
to launch projects, upon seeing a terribly
humble abode for his parents. The MP who
has supposedly relegated himself to be an
errand boy for a top CS was castigated by
seasoned politicians upon touch down with
strict instructions to improve the welfare of
his folks before embarking on philanthropy.

A FAMILY OF a former prominent politician, now deceased, which is embroiled in a
fight for the control of a multibillion-shilling
estate, is back at it again. One faction of the
family is said to have gone on the frenzy
of disposing off the property of the former
politician after allegedly influencing some
decision. However, things appear to have
changed against their wishes after the other
faction also did magic and found a way out,
with the rival keen not to let it go, now reportedly resorting to supernatural powers.

SOME MPS KNOW how to line their pockets. A section of lawmakers were recently
overheard lamenting about how the Finance
Bill, 2025, does not give them the opportunity to allegedly nourish their pockets. They
said that contrary to the previous Finance
Bills that have been supposedly giving them
an opportunity to solicit funds from various
sector players threatened by punitive taxation measures under promise of deleting
them, the Bill offers nothing. Their frustration
is that the Bill is low on taxation as it only
seeks to raise Sh20 to Sh30 billion.

A CS APPOINTED recently to one of the
dockets is reportedly not wasting any given
opportunity to publicise her work. Keen to
get the eye of the appointing authority, the
CS has been mapping out key events where
she is supposed to grace. The CS got officials
in a key agency supposedly shocked after
she called for the postponement of a crucial
initiative despite technical officers burning
the mid-night oil to ensure the launch succeeds. The CS is reported to have appealed
to the key players for the launch to be moved
to a later date where she will grace the event.
It had to be deferred until when the said CS
will launch it and supposedly steal thunder.
