Alleged images of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s properties being moved out of State House, Nairobi, by a transport company are OLD.
The images have widely been shared on social media by a section of Kenyans with some alleging that the Head of State was leaving the official residence to pave way for the incoming president.
Fact Checker has however debunked the images and established that they were taken a decade ago.
The images were taken in 2013 when President Uhuru was being inaugurated as Kenya’s fourth president.
A search of the image through Google Lens Shows journalist Larry Madowo was among the few Kenyans who first shared them on social media.
While sharing the image on April 9, 2013, Larry Madowo tweeted: “Moving company trucks leaving State House Nairobi ahead of @UKenyatta's inauguration”.
The Star Newspaper has looked into reports that Uhuru's properties are being moved out of State House to pave way for incoming president and find it to be misleading.
