A Teachers Service Commission circular dated July 22, 2024, requesting the submission of names of teachers to be deployed to Junior Secondary Schools is fake.
Flagging it as such, TSC urged Kenyans to "Beware of fake news".
The fake letter bearing a signature alleged to be of TSC CEO Nancy Macharia was addressed to all Commission regional directors, county directors and sub-county directors.
It had directed them to inform secondary school principals within their jurisdiction to submit the names of the teachers for deployment.
The names were to be submitted by October 1, 2024.
