Property prices in Nairobi's satellite towns experienced significant double-digit growth over the past year, surpassing those in suburban areas.
According to the latest Q2 HassConsult Land Price Index from the real estate firm, the cost of land in Juja increased by 20.1 per cent, reaching Sh21.7 million per acre.
Following Juja, Kiserian saw a 15.3 per cent rise to Sh11.3 million, Syokimau experienced a 15.2 per cent increase to Sh34.9 million, Ruaka's prices grew by 14.3 per cent to Sh111 million, and Ruiru saw a 14.1 per cent rise to Sh32.9 million.
Other areas also showed notable growth: Ongata Rongai increased by 14 per cent to Sh26.7 million, Kitengela by 13.3 per cent to Sh17.2 million, Limuru by 11.9 per cent to Sh23.4 million, Mlolongo by 11.6 per cent to Sh40.6 million, and Kiambu by 10.7 per cent to Sh48.7 million.
