Electricity demand for domestic use increased from 3,665.9 Gigawatt hours (GWh) in 2018 to 4,291.5 GWh in 2022.
The demand for electricity in commercial and industrial use also increased from 4,336.5 GWh to 4,958.2 GWh during the review period.
Despite increased electricity supply, the energy sector is affected by frequent power outages, which affect the quality of power and the high cost of electricity.
