Who should replace Gachagua as DP if impeached?

As Parliament prepares to debate the impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, many Kenyans prefer Interior CS Kithure Kindiki as his potential replacement.

According to Tifa polls, 37% of Kenyans support Kindiki assuming the role if Gachagua is impeached.

Support for Kindiki is particularly strong in the Mt. Kenya region, where 58 per cent prefer him, compared to 30 per cent from other regions.

Only five per cent of respondents prefer Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro for the position.

Three per cent back Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, while two per cent support Homa Bay County Chief Gladys Wanga.
