According to an Infotrak survey released on October 11, 2024, only 11% of Kenyans believe the country is heading in the right direction.
Key reasons cited include the government's performance (31%), affordability of living costs (27%), and improved education (22%).
Other factors noted are the stabilizing economy (14%), enhanced healthcare (11%), and good infrastructure (9%).
Smaller percentages attributed their optimism to peace in the country (8%), political representation (7%), devolution (6%), and anti-corruption efforts (5%).
However, 73% of those surveyed feel the country is on the wrong path, highlighting concerns despite the positive perceptions.
