Top 10 counties in allocating available funds for development

In the top 10 counties for allocating available funds toward development in the FY 2024/25, Kilifi County leads with 53.4 per cent of its total budget dedicated to development projects, significantly surpassing the national average of 35.6 per cent.

Siaya and Turkana follow closely with 44.5 per cent and 43.9 per cent, respectively. Other notable counties include Kwale (42.6 per cent), Trans Nzoia (42.3 per cent), and Lamu (41.7 per cent).

Mandera, Laikipia, Tana River, and Uasin Gishu round off the list, each allocating between 39.0 per cent and 39.9 per cent.
