It will now cost you more to conduct a DNA identification test after the Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri) revised the price.
The test's initial cost was Sh20,000.
The test, according to Kemri will now cost Sh27,000 effective January 2025.
“We wish to inform our valued customers of a marginal price adjustment for the DNA Testing Service from Sh20,000 to Sh27,000 starting this January 2025 Thank you for your continued support,” Kemri said.
The test is usually conducted at Kemri Human DNA Identification Laboratory, also known as HID Laboratory.
DNA tests can be for legal or personal knowledge.
