The community which has a slogan, 'It's our Village. Let's Grow it', took two weeks to build the bridge.

“On a record of two months, as a community, we were able to mobilise voluntary expertise within ourselves, from engineers, architects, Management team,” the statement reads.

“Members pulled together resources and voluntarily contributed funds and materials and it is amazing the bridge is now ready for use”.

The community said the bridge is a much better design with a pedestrian walkway and a high box leeway for the river/flood to flow.
