Tragedy as 28-year-old woman hacked to death in Kisii

A woman was found murdered in her home in Magichana location, Kisii.

According to police who visited the scene, the unidentified 28-year-old woman was found with a deep cut on her neck.

Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that she resided 800 meters from the Kiomoncha shopping centre.

Police say the deceased is survived by two daughters, aged approximately five and three years.

Police officers processed the scene and necessary action was taken.

The body was moved to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Elsewhere in Mwanyani village, Machakos, the lifeless body of a man was found hanging from a tree.

Police officers identified the 36-year-old man as Kioko Luka.

According to police, the deceased was found with a sisal rope tied around his neck at the bank of Kyungu River within Mwanyani village.

Police officers visited and documented the scene.

The body was moved to Machakos Funeral Home awaiting postmortem.

No suicide note was found at the scene, police said.

The Case is pending investigation.
