IEBC officials have finalised preparations for Tuesday's election with with all seven constituencies having received their polling material.
A spot check by the Star Monday evening established that constituency electoral officials had turned up and picked election material for their respective areas of jurisdiction.
They include Kisumu Central, Seme, Nyakach, Kisumu East, Nyando, Muhoroni and Kisumu West constituencies.
By 7pm Monday, only one election related anomaly has been reported in Nyando where a deputy returning officer was arrested over alleged plans to rig the elections.
He was reportedly caught on video convincing his colleague to manipulate Tuesday's poll results in favour of a certain parliamentary candidate in Nyando constituency.
The Nyando Returning Officer Maurice Simiyu said the Presiding Officer stationed at a polling station in Lela had already been fired and a new officer assigned his roles.
At the Kisumu central constituency, dispatch of polling materials to all the polling station started at 2pm.
The constituency returning officer Yegon Kibos told the press at Kisumu Polytechnic that all was set and they were ready for the process.
Kibos noted that all election officials across 222 polling stations in the constituency are well equipped with what is required to deliver credible lections.
He said tents had been erected at polling stations that don't have physical structures like classrooms.
In Muhoroni, subcounty Police Commander for Muhoroni Constituency David Muniu assured residents that security will be provided as police officers are ready for any eventualities.
He noted that there is adequate security within the constituency and the 165 polling stations are all covered by officers.
"We have patrol teams that will be going around our borders with Tinderet and Nandi south with Kipkelion, Ainamoi and Soin Sigoet to ensure that their is peace".
Muniu added that they have also been assured of a backup platoon if GSU from the county set to arrive any time today.
Earlier in the day, security apparatus in Nyanza region said they were up to the task to ensure a smooth voting.
Regional Commisioner Magu Mutindika said everything was set across the region as they beefed up security in the hotpot areas, mainly boarders and regional points.
