Jubilee Party now claims there was vote rigging in favour of their rival UDA in the Mt Kenya constituencies.

This is according to a statement released by the party's secretary general Jeremiah Kioni on Thursday.

The SG dismissed the notion that there was an alleged UDA wave in the Mt Kenya region that saw their opponents lose.

"For the record, let all and sundry know there was no "Yellow Wave" in the Mt Kenya region including other regions like Bungoma, Taita Taveta and Kisii. These claims are far from the truth," the statement reads.

"We have learnt of massive subtle rigging scheme that took place in the 33 constituencies of Mt Kenya for the parliamentary seat."

Kioni said their agents at the constituencies' polling centres said there was voter bribery, intimidation and display of UDA campaign materials within the bounds of the centres.

They also said there was mishandling of Azimio agents by presiding officers.

This was by denying them access to the polling stations on time.

"The agents found the tamper-proof envelopes containing the seals and stamps unsealed, " Kioni said.

"The voter turnout in the KIEMs did not tally with a number of used ballot counterfoils," he added.

Jubilee further alleges that there was a lack of clarity on voter verification where KIEMs kits failed.

Kioni said they will announce their next move regarding the allegations.

He also sympathized with the Azimio allied MP candidates who lost in the region.

Kioni is among the politicians who suffered defeat in the August 9, general elections.

The Ndaragwa MP lost and conceded to George Gachagua of UDA.
