National Assembly will on Thursday, November 17 conduct a voting exercise to choose EALA members.
Through a gazette notice, the Clerk of the National Assembly Samuel Njoroge said the election will start at 10 am.
Kenya has nine seats up for grabs at the East African Legislative Assembly.
Five of the nine will go to the Kenya Kwanza coalition while four will go to the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
Each party is expected to send back a maximum of three names for every position. This implies that for the nine slots, 27 names will be sent to the committee for vetting.
The EALA Elections Act, 2011 provides that a new assembly is elected within 90 days before the expiry of the term of the subsisting assembly.
This implies the country is already late in submitting names to the assembly.
Only Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is a new member of the regional bloc, are yet to submit the names of their representatives.
The lawmakers are voting by secret ballot at State House to pick the five nominees for the East African Legislative Assembly.
The five will then be the UDA candidates in Parliament.
The President is said to have told the MPs that he does not want to dictate to them who will represent the party.
