First Lady Rachel Ruto has pledged her support for The Africa Adaptation Acceleration Programme, which was launched by the African Development Bank and the Global Center on Adaptation.
The First lady spoke on Wednesday at the Wangari Maathai Institute of peace and environmental studies in Nairobi during the leadership summit of Supporting Kenya's Adaptation.
The programme's objective is to raise $25 billion over five years to speed up and scale up climate adaptation action across the continent.
"This goal will expedite the implementation of climate-smart digital technologies for agriculture and food security," she said.
Additionally, it will scale up investments for climate-resilient urban and rural infrastructure in key sectors such as water, transportation, energy, and waste management for a circular economy.
