The meeting addressed a cross section of critical issues, vital to a strident and functional media industry.

Owalo said the media is an essential enabler of a democratic, free and fair space.

"It is, also, a key contributor to job creation and generation of wealth in the country. We will continue to hold similar meetings with all stakeholders in our mandate as the MoICTKenya," Owalo said. 

The Media Owners Association were led by chairman Stephen Gitagama, and deputy chairperson Agnes Kalekye.
