Patricia Ondeng has been named the acting CEO of the Kenyatta International Conference Centre.
Ondeng takes over from Nana Gecaga after seven years at the helm.
On Friday, the KICC chairperson Fatma Muses together with top management gave Ondeng a tour of the KICC meeting spaces, offices and a tour of the view tower.
Tourism and Wildlife CS Peninah Malonza last week joined the ministry’s Principal Secretaries and KICC staff in a ceremony to bid Nana farewell as she completed her tour of duty as CEO.
"In life, everything happens for a reason and a season. One of my seasons has come to an end while my next season is just starting," Gecaga said in her farewell message.
"I would like to thank all the stakeholders local and International who have contributed to the success in the last seven years and I ask that you continue to support and walk with the new acting CEO Patricia Ondeng. It has been a real honour and privilege to serve as CEO and thank you.”
Nana was appointed KICC’s acting managing director in 2016 by the then Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala.
