Second Lady Dorcas Gachagua has said she is happy that Kenyans are on board with her programme to rescue the boychild.
The second lady took to Twitter to say that she is encouraged to continue with her efforts because of the response from Kenyans.
"I am encouraged that the program to rescue the boychild is receiving a positive response from Kenyans of all walks of life," she said.
She had earlier said that the priority for the Office of the Second Lady in the first five years would be the empowerment of the boychild, widows and other vulnerable groups in society.
She also met with males who she termed as role models and said it would be a positive impact on the efforts to empower the Kenyan boychild.
She met with Bishop David Mureithi, Sammy Wambugu a Counselling Psychologist, Harrison Murakaru, and Pastor and Author Robert Burale.
"We must inculcate the right values in our youth and rescue them from a life where they are hopeless, bitter, and surrounded by negative mentors," she said.
She said she will be working with psychologists, mentors, and religious leaders of all faiths.
