Chicken-flavoured pizza was the most ordered in the period between February 2022 to February 2023, Glovo, a delivery company, has said.
Through a statement, Glovo said it delivered 15,960 pizzas around the country, with many customers ordering the meal on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Tuesdays have the highest pizza consumption, accounting for 33% of the total orders, followed by Sundays as the second most in-demand option, with 17% of the total.
"This could be attributed to the ‘buy one get one free’ offer where several Glovo partners offer 2x1 deals, making it the perfect day for people to order pizza," the statement read.
"Nairobi and Mombasa were the top two cities with the biggest pizza fans."
Pepperoni and Margarita flavors came second and third respectively.
Generally, in the period, Glovo says Kenyans ordered more than 135,000 pizzas.
"We delivered 370 pizzas per day, 15 pizzas per hour in the country."
On October 10, 2022, at 2:48 pm, 36 pizzas were ordered through the app.
