Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi on Saturday, March 18 marked 30 years of his legal practice.
Ahmednasir, in a tweet, revealed he was the first person in the North Eastern province- then- to be a qualified lawyer.
"On March 18, 1993, at 11.30 am, Chief Justice Hancox called to the bar a young man from Bulla, Jamhuria, Mandera armed with law degrees," Ahmednasir said.
The lawyer is a graduate of the University of Nairobi and Cornell Law school in New York.
"Becoming the first person in history from northeastern province to be admitted advocate of the high court of Kenya," he said.
Former Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana congratulated Ahmednasir highlighting several roles he played in the field of law.
This includes as a student in Kenya and abroad, as a lecturer where he was once elected Acting dean faculty of law at UoN, as a practitioner of law and leader in the Law school of Kenya.
"You are a human being who is consistently honest, hard-working and kind. May Allah grant you his peace always," Kibwana said.
Kabando wa Kabando said on July 1992, Ahmednasir stood with them when they were expelled from the university.
"You stood with us even in senate, suffered it. You told us time is the best ally. Time has indeed proven SC Grandmulla to be a personality of courage and fortitude. Keeps his word, and doesn't play fools, I echo you,"Kabando said.
