United Kingdom Ambassador to Kenya Jane Marriot is set to exit the stage in June as her tenure comes to an end.
Marriot, on Wednesday, said she will greatly miss Kenya and its people after four years of service.
"After four amazing years, my time in Kenya is up in June - I will miss Kenya and Kenyans enormously," Marriot said.
She will be replaced by Neil Wigan.
Marriot said she will get a new role in July.
"Make sure to follow my successor Neil Wigan - look out for more soon on what we achieve together. I’ll be popping up in another role in July," she said.
The British Embassy said Wigan has been appointed by the British High Commissioner.
Wigan is a former UK Director for Africa.
He has also served as an ambassador in Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo and will be returning to the region in June to take up his new role.
"After four years as British High Commissioner, we will say farewell to Jane Marriott in June," the British Embassy said.
