Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will on Friday leave the country for an official visit to Bunjumbura, Burundi. 

Musalia will be representing President William Ruto at the summit of heads of state and government of the signatory countries of the framework agreement for peace, security and co-operation for DRC. 

This will be Musalia's first official foreign trip. 

Mukami Kimathi's death 

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is set to address the nation following the death of Mukami Kimathi, the widow of freedom fighter, Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi. 

The 96-year-old died while receiving treatment at a hospital in Nairobi after developing breathing difficulties.

She passed away on Thursday night, according to her daughter, Evelyn Kimathi Wangui.
