Candidates who sat their KCSE exams in 2022 can now select their courses and their institutions of choice in the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal.

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu launched the portal on Wednesday and asked KUCCPS to immediately open the portal for students to start applying.

"KUCCPS has conformed to all conditions including publishing fees details of all programmes," he said during the launch at University of Nairobi.

Machogu noted that KUCCPS will place all qualified students in the various programmes.

"A total of 173, 127 candidates with C+ and above qualified for degrees. Those with C plain and below will be absorbed in TVET institutions. Those with C+ and above have not been stopped from applying for courses in TVETs if they so wish," he added.

The CS announced that his ministry has partnered with Huduma Secretariat to have students also apply for programmes at all 52 Huduma centres.

"Officials in the Huduma centres will offer assistance to students applying for programmes. KUCCPS will also send teams to selected universities to offer assistance," he added.

He said the government has the capacity to admit all students.
